Emperor Dongyue

The "Great Emperor of the Eastern Peak, Tianqi Rensheng" was also General Huang Feihu who assisted the Shang Dynasty in revitalizing the Zhou Dynasty. He is also the god of Mount Tai, one of the Five Great Mountains.

The Great Emperor of Heaven and Earth, the Benevolent and Holy Emperor of Dongyue, is in charge of the right and wrong, good and evil, fortune and misfortune in the human world, and can also be called the "Minister of Justice in the Divine Realm".

Bixia Yuanjun

Bixia Yuanjun is the daughter of the Great Emperor of Mount Tai. The mountain deity worship originated in North China, where she is known as Bixia Yuanjun, the Celestial Fairy of Mount Tai.

In Taiwan, there are relatively few temples dedicated to Bixia Yuanjun. However, in mainland China, there is a saying that "Yuanjun in the North, Mazu in the South", which shows the high status of Bixia Yuanjun.

Bixia Yuanjun, also known as the "Goddess of Mount Tai," is the goddess in charge of women and children. She aids in fertility and childbirth. Even palace dramas depict empresses repeatedly visiting Bixia Yuanjun in hopes of having children.

The deity Tianyi Zhenren is solemnly enshrined in the Dongyue Hall. He holds "Shennong's Medicine Language" in his right hand and points the finger with his left hand, symbolizing preaching to the world and curing diseases and saving lives.

Tianyi Zhenren was a renowned Tang Dynasty physician and one of the revered deities of Taoism. He has long been revered by the people as the "King of Medicine" and the "God of Medicine." Not only is he one of the founders of Eastern medicine, he is also considered a deity who protects health and wisdom.

Tianguan Wucaishen

When the Dongyue Temple in Shanhua was rebuilt in 1999, Emperor Yue felt that the local financial resources were weak and needed to be supplemented with wealth and blessings. He instructed the relevant deacons of the Dongyue Temple in Shanhua to go to the Jade Emperor Peak of Mount Tai in mainland China to ask for instructions, hoping to enshrine the "Heavenly Official Martial God of Wealth".

The "Heavenly Official Martial God of Wealth" is the chief of the Five Gods of Wealth. After the Shanhua Dongyue Temple enshrined the "Heavenly Official Martial God of Wealth," he assisted the temple in the construction of the "Dongyue Temple Dizang Temple" and the "Ji Shi Tang Hall." Devotees from all over the world have also benefited from this assistance and fortune.

Marshal Wan Shanye of Zhongtan

The ninth day of the ninth lunar month is the birthday of the "Marshal of the Central Altar". There is a statue of the "Marshal of the Central Altar" enshrined in the Dongyue Temple in Shanhua.

The "Marshal of the Central Altar" is the most important of the five camp marshals. He is the commander-in-chief of the main god's soldiers and is also revered as the "God of Opening the Way."

When you visit the Dongyue Temple in Shanhua to burn incense and pray for blessings, remember to pay your respects to the "Marshal of the Central Altar"!

Guanyin Buddha

Guanyin Buddha, also known as Guanyin Bodhisattva, is the most common and revered goddess of compassion in Taiwanese folk belief. With gentle yet steadfast strength, she listens quietly to the hearts of all beings and protects them from worry and suffering.

Marshal Tian Du

Marshal Tiandu｜The loyal soul of the music official protects the law and justice

Marshal Tian Du is the patron saint of Taiwanese music and theater, and a righteous guardian general. Legend has it that his real name was Lei Haiqing, a Tang Dynasty native and a court musician with exceptional musical talent. During An Lushan's rebellion, he remained loyal to the Tang emperor, ultimately sacrificing his life for justice. He was later named "Grand Administrator of the Pear Garden" by the imperial court.

Marshal Tian Du is widely believed and admired by the performing arts, military and police circles for his loyalty and support for the arts.

In his early years, he was stationed in the [Shanhua Dongyue Temple] and became one of the temple's guardians, protecting the people and ensuring peace!

Goddess of Birth

Zhusheng Niangniang is an important goddess in folk beliefs who is in charge of seeking children, pregnancy, fetal health, normal delivery and child safety. She is also a compassionate protector who protects women's health and family harmony.

In the Shanhua Dongyue Temple, there is also a solemn golden statue of the Goddess of Birth, which is very popular and has been praised for its efficacy.

Tai Sui Xingjun

Tai Sui Xingjun | The annual deity resolves conflicts

Tai Sui Xingjun, also known as "Tai Sui Ye" or "Tai Sui Shen," is a deity in Taoism who oversees annual fortune and luck. Ancient texts describe Tai Sui as the ruler of the celestial constellations, corresponding to the annual fortunes of the human world. He is commonly known as the "Taisui on Duty" or "Nian Tai Sui." Each year, a new Tai Sui Xingjun takes turns to oversee the annual fortunes of each of the sixty Jiazi cycles.

This temple enshrines the deity Tai Sui, the star god. At the beginning of each year, a "Tai Sui An" ritual is held, and a "Tai Sui Lantern" lighting service is provided to help believers stabilize their fortunes, pray for good luck, and gain the deity's protection.

Regardless of whether it is the year of Tai Sui or not, you can pray to Tai Sui Star God for a smooth and safe year.

General Tiger｜Protecting the house from evil spirits and demons

Tiger Lord, also known as Xiatan General and Tiger General, is an important deity guarding temples in Taoism and folk beliefs. He is often revered as the god's mount or guardian general.

Fierce and powerful, with psychic powers and swift swiftness, Tiger God protects believers from misfortune, wards off evil spirits, and safeguards their homes. Many believers pray to him for the safety of their children and good health, and he also often prays to dispel conflicts and bad luck.

In the Dongyue Temple in Shanhua, General Tiger is enshrined in front of the main deity's throne. He is the guardian of all gods, powerful in all directions, and protects local peace.
